SHO GO RYU KARATE-DO

SHO GO RYU KARATE
is the club i started in June 2003

after studying Karate for over 20 years i decided that it was time to follow a different path and opened up the new club.

are classes are aimed at familys and cover a wide age group
our youngest students are 5 years old and our oldest...well im not they'd like thier age posted in the net. lets just say ive been called "sonny" as well as sensei.

Memebers of our club can train at any of our classes. i would recoment training twice a week that way you will progress at a steady rate and get the full benefits of practicing the Martial arts.

at the begining of the class we do a warm up and some stretching before practicing our basics then move onto partner training wereby we practice all our moves and combinations on alive partner.

classes run for an hour for the kids and an hour and half for the adults.
Special seminars vary from 2 hours to a whole weekend.

we bring in guest Instructors to help with our development and share Knowlage.

The training is similar to our JEET KUNE DO classes but actual techniques are more "japanese" in flavour.
the main focus of the lesson is Kata and Bunkai
learning how to unlock the secrets of the kata and apply the moves on the street as well as in the dojo

Gradings are held ever other month and a new student would expect to grade every 3 - 4 months. the first full grade is a yellow belt and certificate is awarded when you pass your grade

your BlackBelt will take about 4-5 years of hard training and dedication.

WORLD COMBAT ARTS JEET KUNE DO

Here at World Combat Arts Liverpool
we teach functional Je
et Kune Do.

classes are held every wednesday evening at the Good Shepheard Church Hall on Carr Lane East.

all of our classes are high intensity high powered "Live" training sessions.
The difference beteen us and many other clubs is the way we train. Everything do and practice is a hard core technique that we know will work under pressure.

If you want to stand in line and punch the sky then dont bother coming to our club.

our students spend 80% of the class training with and against a training partner.

old or young male or female we all get stuck in help each other to learn and progress.

world comat arts is a family club and we have students training of all ages from 5 years old right up people of retirment age.

A typical training session would consist of

Boxing...pad work
Kick Boxing ...pad work
Weapon Training ...Stick & knife.
Ground Work...Bazilian JuJitsu
Pressure Point Work
&
Reality Based self protection.
